God's Love Endures!
"His faithful love endures forever" is the refrain of Psalm 136, repeated 28 times, in
every other line. How often should you and I repeat this statement? God's love never fails! God's love never fails! God's
love never fails! Remember these words. Repeat them often. God's love never fails.
A Prayer begins . . .
Heavenly Father, you are God, the living God. We praise and worship you. Your love for us endures forever.
It never fails, and we are grateful.

The End of Mr. Dysfunctional
Category: General Keywords: names, faces, dysfuntion,
teaser, bullying, God, Jesus Christ, Word Publishing, Peretti, Frank Peretti
"I told you that I never forgot the names and the faces of those who hurt me. There's
one other name and one other face I will remember all my life, but for the opposite
reason. I won't give you his full name, but his first name was John. It was a classic
situation, commonplace and sadly predictable. I was a pitiful creature in my gym class,
and some character with a truckload of dysfunction in his life came after me. Well,
John happened to be there, and he stepped in. He had size advantage, he was strong,
and he was quite persuasive. With an assertive presence and a calm voice, he convinced
Mr. Dysfuction that
there were beter things to do and better places to be, and Mr. D
bought his argument. I don't recall that Mr. D ever bothered me again.
More than thirty years later, I still remember John, and I pray for him whenever I think
of that moment. He came between me and harm. He stood on that wall. I think he's the
only one who ever did.
We need more people like John in this world, and you may be that kind of person, or
at least somebody who can become one. Perhaps, up to this point, you've been a teaser, a
source of pain rather than a source of comfort. You can change all that. All it takes
is a decision, a pivotal moment when you decide you will put a stop to the bullying and
abuse and begin treating everyone who passes your way as a priceless, precious,
miraculous creation of God, a person for whom Jesus Christ bled and died, a person who
matters to God just as much as you do."
SoAmazing Review: Frank Peretti is looking for men
and women who will stand up against teasers, abusers and bullies. Men and women who see
people as "priceless, precious, and miraculous creations of God."

Off On The Right Foot
Category: Fiction Keywords: decisions, amicable accord, marriage, Penguin Books, Karon, Jan Karon
"The decisions were made, and both parties were in amicable
accord.
They would sleep at the rectory primarily, and on occasion at the little yellow house.
Though she would work there, as always, they would treat it much as a second home,
using it for refreshment and private retreat.
He promised to have his sermon well under control each Saturday afternoon, with time to
relax with her on Saturday evening, and he would continue to make breakfast on
Sunday morning.
He showed her where his will was, and promised to have it rewritten. She
confessed she didn't have a will, and promised to have one drawn up.
If they should ever, God forbid, have a misunderstanding, neither would dash
off to the other house to sulk.
He would continue to have the cheerful and enterprising Puny Guthrie, nee Bradshaw,
clean the rectory three days a week and Cynthia would use her services on a fourth day,
next door.
They would go on with their separate checking accounts, make some mutual investments,
counsel with the other about gift offerings, and never spend more than a certain fixed
sum without the other's prior agreement.
He suggested fifty dollars as the fixed sum.
'One hundred!' she countered.
He was glad he had opened the bidding low. 'One hundred, then, and I
keep that old jacket you earmarked for the Bane and Blessing sale.'
'Done!'
They laughed.
They felt relieved.
Getting a marriage off on the right foot was no small matter.' "
SoAmazing Review: These High, Green
Hills is a delightful visit to the mythical town of Mitford, North Carolina.
