Bless Us, Indeed!
This special blessing that God gave to
the children of Israel through Aaron, the brother of Moses, is for you and me
as well. We too are his children. It is wonderful to know that God desires
to bless us with peace, protection,
grace and favor. We are very special people in his eyes.
A Prayer begins . . .
To the one and only true God, we give you our gratitude. Bless us, O God. Bless us, indeed!

Prayer Power
Category: Relationships, Parenting Keywords: prayer,
power of prayer, child rearing, limits, overscheduling, parents, parenting, children,
God, Martin-Ola Press, Lynn, Jodie Lynn
"Never underestimate the power of prayer. Use prayer daily to help you with inner
strength, wisdom and guidance for your family team. Whether we want to admit it or not,
being a good salesperson, leader and teacher comes with the responsibility of having a
family. Although I know it can sometimes be quite overwhelming and scary, we wear all
these hats as parents. We wear many different hats throughout a marriage, during child
rearing and in life in general. I could not do it alone. I'm not saying your children
will always be perfect, or will you, but God can help us every day and in every way.
Responsibility sets a solid foundation for individuals to come back to even if one should
stray. Ask for help through prayer. Read Philippians 4:13 and pray it often: 'I can do
all things through Christ which strengthens me.' It can be your personal preventive
maintenance plan."
SoAmazing Review: Mommy-CEO's chapter
on "Squashing The Overscheduling Dilemma" is superb. Jodie Lynn advocates enforcing
serious limits on extracurricular school activities, functions, clubs, contests, sports
and lessons. Read all about her recommended limitations in Chapter 4.

A Route Across The Red Sea
Category: General Interest Keywords: underwater, land
bridge, chariots, children of Israel, Jews, Egypt, Strait of Tiran, Cornuke, Exodus,
Book of Exodus, Midian, Mount Sinai, Red Sea, Bible, Saudi Arabia, Moses, Pocket Books,
Blum, Howard Blum
"They had found an underwater land bridge. It was not sandy or even muddy. Except for
some coral growth, it was smooth and solid. It appeared to stretch ahead and behind
them, west to east from Egypt to the coast of Saudi Arabia. And it was wide enough for
trucks. Or chariots. Or, for that matter, a million Jews fleeing for their lives.
But the Israelites walked on dry ground in the midst of the sea, the waters being a
wall to them on their right hand and on their left.
Cornuke knew his Bible. He knew that the Book of Exodus had carefully described the
crossing site as a stretch of dry, solid ground in the middle of the Red Sea, a roadway
that took the children of Israel out of the desert and into the land of Midian.
And they had found it.
It was not the proof they had expected, but they were not disappointed. They were
certain that with the right equipment--and it would take nothing less than deep-sea
mining machines--relics from Pharaoh's soldiers, an army swallowed up by the Red Sea,
could be found hidden in the sands of the ocean floor beneath the Strait of Tiran.
They had found the land bridge that the Israelites had crossed 4,000 years ago when the
waters parted and rose up in high walls around them. It was there just as the Bible had
said it would be. Mount Sinai was out there, too. It was simply a matter of looking in
the right place. More than ever before, they believed that with all their hearts."
SoAmazing Review: The Gold of Exodus traces the
route of the children of Israel from Egypt, east to the Sinai Peninsula, south around
its tip to the Strait of Tiran and, then, across the Red Sea into Saudia Arabia (Midian)
to the top of the real Mount Sinai. Consider the proofs and see if you find them
compelling.
