What's NRSV?

The initials "NRSV" stand for the "New Revised Standard Version."

Rich Scott, writer of the SoAmazing Letter has this to say about the New Revised Standard Version, "It is a widely read and used Bible. It is a revision of the Revised Standard Version, the copyright of which is owned by the United Council of Churches. The work on this translation was done by The Revised Standard Version Bible Committee which operated under mandates of the Division of Education and Ministry of the National Council of Churches of Christ. As such the NRSV enjoys the support of many mainline church denominations and the vast membership of the National Council of Churches of Christ.
